This type of mold has universal application, simple structure, it’s easy to manufacture, but it has low productivity. In order to improve productivity, there can be used many channels, such as: blanking, drawing, punching, trimming and other channels arranged in a mold, enabling blanks in one station complete multi-channel stamping process. This mold is called a compound mold. Another way is to have multiple processes, like blanking, bending, deep drawing, punching and trimming, etc., arranged on one mold in different work stations.
