Tungsten Carbide Burr Fitting Introduction

Tungsten carbide burr fitting is the fitter and model labor's indispensable advanced tool, its characteristic is substitutes for the belt handle small grinding wheel and the non-dust pollution, the service life is equal to several hundred belts handle small grinding wheel. the processing efficiency enhances above 5 times, below abrasive marching degree of hardness HRC70 each metal and the nonmetallic material, grinding surface roughness may reach Ral.6,convenience grasps, use to be simple, safe reliable, reduces the arduous manual labor greatly, reduce the cost of production.

Tungsten Carbide Cutter Fitting Description

Tungsten carbide is a chemical compound that contains carbon and tungsten and is similar to titanium carbide. It was originally developed for use as a cutting tool, in machine tools applications, where it still finds wide use today. Cemented tungsten carbide is neither a metal nor is it a ceramic. It is a Cemented although this isn't a widely used term. In most cases, tungsten carbide is simply referred to as carbide.

Tungsten Carbide Cutter FittingTungsten carbide alloys are prepared by reacting carbon and tungsten at a temperature of between 1400-2000C. The other method involves using a patented fluid bed process to mix Hydrogen and tungsten elements at a temperature of not less than 900C. Other methods are by the use of vapor deposition, which are still under investigation.

Our company has in its possession an advanced production line for manufacturing dies and moulds and a production line for post machined cemented carbide products. We can also supply tailor-made products of various specifications based on the requirements of our customers.

We supply tungsten carbide wear part, blanks, rod, plate, tips, drill bits, saw tips, tools, insert, blade, and dies etc tungsten carbide products. Please contact with our sales department for more details.

Tungsten Carbide Cutter Fitting Application

You've never seen anything like these incredible cutters. They're made of virtually indestructible tungsten carbide welded to steel shanks. They'll last for years and they won't load up, break down or overheat like ordinary steel cutters. Use on all woods, fiberglass, stone, ceramic or plastic (not recommended for use on metal). 1/8 inch shanks fit in hand drills, rotary tools and drill presses.

Tungsten carbide cutter fitting are used for shaping, smoothing, and material removal. Use on hardened steel, cast iron, nonferrous metals, fired ceramics, tungsten carbide cutterplastics, hardwoods, and other hard materials. Not for use on floor tiles.

Different Kinds of Tungsten Carbide Drill Fitting

As indicated earlier, there are different kinds of carbide drills. Essentially, there are the solid and the tipped. A solid tungsten carbide drill fitting is one in which the whole bit is made of carbide. This is contrasted with the carbide tipped drill bit, where just the tip of the bit is carbide, and the rest might be of the more common steel. There are advantages and disadvantages to the different kinds.

Advantages of Tungsten Carbide Drill Fitting

One of the advantages of tungsten carbide drill fitting over the more common steel bit, is that they last longer, so long as nothing drastically wrong happens. Drills experience “Wear and tear” because the heat generated due to the friction between the bit and the surface being penetrated, causes the dulling of the bit. As a result, the drill bit needs regrinding from time to time, to maintain it’s cutting edge. However, there is a limited number of times that regrinding can be done before the drill becomes effectively useless. There is also the matter of the structural integrity of the bit, which gets compromised due to the repeated heating and cooling that the bit undergoes as it is put to work. As tungsten carbide drill fitting are tougher and more durable than their steel counterparts, they do not deteriorate as easily, and therefore have a longer lifespan, up to 25 times as much.

To appreciate another advantage of tungsten carbide drill fitting, we need to understand what is meant by drill tolerance. The tolerance of a drill basically is a measure that indicates the accuracy one can expect from the drill bit. It in effect is the difference between the diameter of the bit and the diameter of the largest expected hole generated from actually using the bit. The tolerance is associated with the size of the drill bit, as well as the type. As would be expected from the explanation of what tolerance refers to, the lower it is, the more accurate the bit. Tungsten carbide drill fittng have the lowest tolerances and are therefore the choice of drills for any task that requires high precision.
